Wednesday Recruiting Notes
You may have missed it, but Texas A&M's newest commitment Kamarui Dorsey is planning to return to College Station for the South Carolina game. It will be the first time his mother has a chance to visit and he is excited to get her to town. San Antonio (TX) Roosevelt 2027 offensive lineman Kaeden Scott is also planning to visit. He too will be joined by his mother and they plan to get in town early to take in the sights. This will be his second trip to College Station this fall. He previously visited for the season opener against UTSA. Things are trending a different direction for another 2027 target. Waxahachie (TX) S JayQuan Snell has the Aggies in his top schools, but a few programs have made some significant moves in recent weeks. Ohio State made a very strong push up his list, to the point they claimed a lead at one point. Texas Tech has also made some moves. He is planning to visit Lubbock soon, and he could visit as soon as this weekend. It is a safe bet the Red Raiders will give him a lot to think about while he is in town. Texas is another program who continues to push hard there. Another top 2027 target has set a decision date. Summerville (GA) Chattooga DL Kadin Fife will announce between Texas A&M, Auburn, Georgia Tech, and Tennessee on November 21. The 6-5, 295-pound defender visited Texas A&M for the blackout game against Mississippi State, and the buzz behind Texas A&M was strong following his trip. As he approaches his decision date we continue to hear good things about Texas A&M's momentum. On the potential flip front, North Forney (TX) 2026 ATH Legend Bey is a target we have been watching since he committed to Tennessee over Texas A&M this summer. Over the weekend he was in Columbus, OH and following his recent visit the Buckeyes have had some strong momentum. He remains committed to Tennessee, but there has been a lot of smoke about potential movement. As for Texas A&M, he has been in communication with the staff over the course of the fall, but he has yet to visit or schedule a trip. Right now, the Aggies are fading, but I would not say things are done because a visit could go a long way in rejuvenating the interest on both sides,. Until then though I look for things to trend other directions.

Recruiting action continues even with Texas A&M on a bye week
Texas A&M's second bye week meant there was no on-field action for the Maroon & White, but the Aggies were still plenty busy on the recruiting front. Over the weekend, A&M welcomed a 2027 addition and saw a 2026 pledge decommit.

Remaining targets in 2026
Barring someone coming in from off the radar or a name re-emerging due to the coaching carousel, here's what we've got as remaining targets for Texas A&M with about 6 weeks until the early signing period.ATH Legend Bey - North Forney - TennesseeWR Jayden Warren - Iowa Colony - HoustonWR Boobie Feaster - DeSoto - USCWR Tristen Keys - Hattiesburg (MS) - TennesseeWR Jase Mathews - Leakesville (MS) Greene County - AuburnDL Lamar Brown - Baton Rouge (LA) University Lab - LSUDL Jaimeon Winfield - Richardson - USCDE KJ Ford - Duncanville - FloridaEDGE Tank Jones - Mobile (AL) St Paul's - OregonS Bralan Womack - Flowood (MS) Hartfield Academy - AuburnAs you can see, all of the above are committed to other schools. As such, it's a safe bet that financial considerations have been agreed upon at those places. While those are not iron clad as we've seen in A&M's class this week, they do represent another hurdle for the Aggies. The fervor in regards to the pursuit of the list above varies based on the player, but we know communication between both parties still occurs. Some of the above will be in town for one of the two remaining home games. Womack has already publicly stated he'll be visiting for South Carolina. The likelihood that he's the only one from this list to make it in that weekend is extremely low. Personally, I believe A&M would stand a great chance at Warren and Ford if they decide to make full fledge pushes for each. We are checking on OL Aaron Thomas who chose Ohio State over Texas A&M last summer but has backed out of that verbal pledge to the Buckeyes today.

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

TexAgs Rating

The TexAgs Recruiting team of Billy Liucci, David Sandhop, Jason Howell, Ryan Brauninger and a host of recruiting interns attends more than 75 games each fall and observes and evaluates every major Texas A&M target, as well as most of the top 150 prospects in the State of Texas. From this evaluation the team draws a rating for each prospect on a scale between 70 and 100.

99-100: Elite national prospect (Five-star)

Considered one of the best prospects in the nation and a likely difference-maker at the collegiate level. Displays all of the physical skills to be a future All-American with potential to be an early-round NFL draft pick.

90-98: Elite state prospect (Four-star)

Considered one of the best 30-40 prospects in the state and a top 250 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to be a major early contributor at the collegiate level with high professional potential.

80-89: Quality prospect (Three-star)

Considered one of the best 100 prospects in the state and a top 500 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to develop into a contributor over the course of his college career. Has the ability to become a professional prospect over time with development.

70-79: Solid prospect (Two-star)

Considered one of the top 250 prospects in the state. Has the physical skills to be a potential contributor at a D-1 program over the course of his collegiate career with significant development. Professional potential is low.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
