Earley is a failure of a head coach at A&M in every definition of the word. But now we are stuck with him.

He should have been fired last year. But we were dumb and stuck with him. Now we are…..stuck with him. This year is our future.

We are now stuck with this crap for probably two more years.

Outside of a three week or so stretch this team wasn't much different than last year. In our future We will UIL whip our way into some wins and have some streaks and catch some luck. It this is it. This is what we can expect.

Thanks everyone who supported keeping Earley. You own this. Great programs would have fired him.

We just got embarrassed back to back postseason games on our home field! Earley will never make a super much less the CWS!

On another note, why do the Fire Earley threads keep getting nuked?

So in 2 years he took the team from out of the playoffs entirely to one win away from super and you are doubting his ability to grow…

Early is fine. You have other issues to worry about on that staff before he gets fired.

It was just as absurd the first time you posted this

Next year we'll see Earley is capable of building a program, or we'll fire him.

He's losing enough to make hosting (or even reaching) a regional a fairly tall order. He's gonna pull in pieces (including hopefully a pitching coach) and develop a solid freshman core and show how he can sustain long term success/progress...or he's gonna miss/limp to the post season and be gone.

We're not saddled with a contract or a superstar class anymore.

It deserved its own thread for a lot of reasons.

To be fair the expectations last year were Omaha no question about it. Not even making the postseason was a terrible failure and should not be used as the basis for how we are judging progress. Yes technically progress was made but we've lowered the bar significantly on what our expectations are if we are supposed to be happy with topping out in the regional final.

The stretch where we went 10-1 in conference play and swept two of three series is a bit misleading because three of those four opponents missed the tourney. Just saying.

Completely overlooking the fact that he took the consensus #1 team in the country precisely nowhere. That's not exactly "out of the playoffs". It was a complete disaster culminating by getting swept at home by the worst team in conference baseball history

were you around for the Childress era?

this is how the program got 2 Omaha appearances in 16 seasons

and Childress got to a super regional in year 2

Earley is officially behind his pace

Nobody's happy about capping at the final but in 2 years he's made progress. First time head coach, you stick with the hire and reload the team. You fire Kelly and get a new pitching staff to actually compete with.

Relax. Maybe he's another Mike Bianco and in 19 years, the Ags will win it all.

We improved tremendously from last year...

And with the obvious issues with NIL and transfer portal can add or subtract from a roster quite a bit I think we could have a GREAT weekend rotation similar to under Childress next year from our roster this year alone dependant upon the draft eliglble players who might stay

Saturday Freshcorn
Sunday Sims

Moss also an option as well

and that doesnt include transfer portal and pitching lab coming to get propects

Yet somehow we are making progress.


I will save the obvious in game baseball problems that we have had since day one. It's not even necessary for the argument.

Next year the team is all his and the NIL bump is gone that was here bc of Ags mad at POS. So we will see what he can do without the talent Schloss left.

Losing to a power 4 team is a whole hell of a lot better than losing to Troy.

Mine got nuked by Staph last night. I have no clue why TexAgs Staph will not allow faithful followers and posters to post about a really bad baseball coach who should not be our team's skipper.
