3rd Place in the SEC.
This year's team has exceeded expectations and still has a chance to win tonight and battle into the super regionals.
With the lack of pitching we have had due to injuries, did you really expect more?

Whats wrong is getting ****ed over by the committe with awful teams ahead of us.
USM sucks ass couldnt even win a game at home again choked away at home regional they suck.
FSU
UCLA lol
We may lose but we got a ****ty draw with USC they shouldve been in USM instead of here, you telling me UVA is better than USC, that is some straight up bs.

The Standard in the Mike Earley Era is making it to the regional final. Anything past that is gravy.

I won't push back too much but I'm not sure I'd include UCLA given they run ruled us lol

So the fact the staff has not been good has little to do with injuries.
Add the lefty we lost in the fall, the FAU pitcher that flaked as well as the Baylor picher. And wasn't David Ramirez expected to start?BoerneGator said:Agryan00 said:

Ok, I'll play along.
Sdao has never returned to his pre-injury form. Hard to argue that's not "injury related". In fact, to do so is absurd.
Stewie missed almost the entire season, after starting out as the primary closer.
Then, with two (or three) series left in the regular season, Sims (arguably our best starter) is unable to continue to participate, contributing to our slide and seed drop.
Granted, that's only three, and not an an unusually high number compared to the norm/average perhaps, but to assert that injuries (to the pitching staff alone) had no effect on how "good" the staff has been is simply absurd.

I guess someone will scrub the record and prove me wrong, but I don't recall very many instances this year when the team lost two in a row.
I'm betting on a win tonight.

I have been concerned about this team's ability to win when the chips are down. They have shown each of the last two seasons that they have the talent to beat anybody and have won numerous series against highly ranked teams - only to turn around and squander it losing to teams they shouldn't.
They are WILDLY inconsistent.
That is the "fairly regularly" that I am referring to.

This post is very RC like. "Half the teams lose every weekend!"
