I'd clearly start Freshcorn. Gotta get the momentum on our side and put pressure on USC. As for the lineup, I'm getting Kellner and TK out. The outfield is the hard one for me, the infield to me is easy… Gavin or Partida to 2B and Binderup into play 1B.

RF… do you go Jorian? Do you go chestnut? Do you put Gavin or Farr out there and then you put the other on the dirt? I think I'm going Jorian, but I don't hate Chestnut in the 9 hole in front of the big 3. I also don't love Jorian in the 8/9 hole because I want someone on base for the big 3 so I'm considering Bear back to the bottom of the order for that reason.

My lineup:

Gavin 3B
Sorrell CF
Hacopian DH
Partida 2B
Duer LF
Royo SS
Binderup 1B
Jorian RF
Bear C
Gyles Marrett

We all know there will not be any lineup change outside of maybe flipping back Jorian for TK.

And to make matters worse I'd be shocked if Earley doesn't trot Sdao out there bc he loves him told so expect to be down like 5-0 or 5-1 after 1-2 innings.

Anytime you can eliminate a team, you should go medieval before they get any hope. Frestcorn should have started tonight. Definitely start him monday.

I think Kellner's glove provides more run value than the addition of someone like binderup would add to the lineup. Even as lacking as his hitting has been.

This lineup will give you the best shot, good construction.

He has 15 errors on the season, he doesn't have much glove value

Wow, thats surprising. Thought he would had been better, but that is pretty bad.

He's had noticeable issues since breaking his face. I think the mask is limiting his vision some.

His glove and arm is below average for a D-1 shortstop. Now Royo glove has also looked pathetic. Hacopian back playing defense. Can't hold anything back.

Don't think we can have Kellner and TK in the lineup today. Just two easy outs. Rarely turns the order over and wastes Gavin in the one hole.

Would love to see that lineup, OP. Unfortunately, 0% chance it happens.

For a team that's supposed to be a great offensive threat. We sure do freak out about the lineup a ton. One would think it was not that hard to come up with a lineup we liked if we were great at offense.

It's baseball. Players go into slumps at weird times. Have to adjust the lineup accordingly.

That pitcher for USC last night was nothing special. Did not have much movement and the entire lineup made him look great.

I disagree. Any pitcher that throws 170 pitches in 2 days and dominates like he did is pretty special. Have to give credit where credit is due. If we had a pitcher do that we would crown him. Lol.

I know Bear has been hit a lot this season. However, he was hit twice last night and didn't finish the game. Will this be an issue? It could've been he was just given a breather.

Partida should never go to 2nd thats just dumb the best arm on the team at 2nd.

Something in his pitch movement forced a ton of pop flies. It was frustrating to watch so many potential rallies killed by a pop up to shallow center. I'd love to have another pitcher like that guy on our roster.

Again, he did not have much movement and we allowed him to dominate. He is their 3rd starter and the supposed strength of our team made him look like Nolan Ryan.

We can agree to disagree but many on 1150 today are all stating the same as me.

The even more unfortunate thing that is happening is TK flying out to end innings. Kellner leading off the next inning is like only getting 2 outs to play with

I mean he and Gavin are both good 3B. I don't care which one you put at 2B. I assume the coaches would have a good feel for which one would fit in which spot the best and they will know better than we would. Partida was a SS in HS so figured he'd more easily transition to the 2B spot which requires more range than 3B but maybe Gavin is the better fit.

Giving up a lot of defense at 2B and ss. They put a lot of balls in play. Disagree with this approach.

They are hitting the balls over the fence and in the gap. No defenders in the history of the game are making plays on those. Have to consider this a homerun derby today

I didn't see many non-routine plays made at SS or 2B last night. Saw several misplays or failed efforts on non-routine plays though.

Id start Fresh and Jorian. Remainder as yesterday's lineup. Adjust as needed from there. Meaning if you need more bats then BK out and Royo to SS.

He's a terrible hitter. No amount of glove makes up for what he costs at the plate.

Partida at SS
Royo second
