Can we get the correct version of the War Hymn?

We went through this in 2022. The version of the War Hymn played pregame is about 20 beats per minute slower than the one we've played for the last 40+ years. That version is so ingrained in fans' memory that many are going to saw horns at that tempo even if the loudspeaker is playing something different. Listening to the crowd try to clap along to Hot Time at that slow pace sucked all the energy out of the crowd momentarily. That's the last thing the PA should be doing.

The correct version can be found on the 1973 Live From Kyle Field album.

Our fans can't keep a beat no matter how fast or slow it's played. Watch how out of rhythm we get every time the band or PA has to stop playing in the middle of a game when play resumes. We're hopelessly white

I actually think the correct one is Live from G. Rollie White. But I held up a sign at Ashley to play the fast version. Hopefully she listened

The G Rollie version is the fastest, by a bit, but the Kyle Field version is what we are used to. The signing in the background is also nice for when we have small crowds.

Got Ashley to play the right version at the end of the game. Hopefully she keeps it because we don't have enough time to play the whole thing and it being slow. Has a lot of people agreeing with my sign as I went up to show her.

I found out the reason why. It turns out Ashley's computer crashed and she lost the version that she had originally so she just played the one on Apple Music. And she was spending all game yesterday trying to re-download the fast version. She got a new laptop and we're good to go.

Props to her for finding a workable solution so fast! Slow War Hymn is better than no War Hymn!
