For all that weren't aware of it, the home series vs the sips (4/10/26 - 4/12/26) is also Family Weekend and Ring delivery is 4/10/26. It's going to be a crazy busy weekend in Aggieland and the games to be packed like sardines! Get your hotels and such reserved as early as possible!

Then you could make some money! I was looking at hotel rooms for the weekend (son in the FTAB, daughter getting her ring - Whoop!) and the rooms were like $450 a night minimum!

It's ridiculous that we keep scheduling baseball series on Parents Weekend. We don't need help filling the seats, and people coming in from out of town for baseball (including player families, recruits, and out of town season ticket holders) are screwed, all so that some parents who don't really care about baseball can come watch five innings of the Saturday game.

ETA: I'm not throwing the OP in this basket, but if you've been to many games on Parents Weekend, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

I think it's the SEC who schedules the games. If we had any input, certainly we wouldn't have put the most in-demand series on the same weekend where the town is going to be packed anyway. Surely...

We may not get to select the opponent, but I am pretty sure we can tell the SEC that we don't want games on a certain weekend and they will honor that. I'm afraid we are doing the opposite. It's really rare that we don't have a home series on Parents Weekend.

I absolutely get it, I'm about an hour and some change from campus prolly make about 2/3rds of the home games. Major "event weekends" that coincide with big time SEC baseball series weekends are a nightmare to navigate. That is actually the reason we ended up getting an Airbnb for that weekend so that we didn't have to drive back and forth for the games like we normally would.
