Our guys all start tomorrow. I was going to go watch Braden's team but it's going to be 100 degrees for a day game so I'm going to wait until next week. Will and Nathan are on the same team and the one in my neighborhood so hoping to see them pitch a few times. They play at the Cubs spring training complex which is really cool.

Montgomery DNP again today. He hasn't gotten into a game this week.

Will Johnston got a hold for Mesa yesterday with a scoreless inning. Braden Montgomery still hasn't gotten into a game so I'm assuming he's hurt. Yesterday was the first games they have played since Friday because of 4 days of flooding.

I'm at Sloan Park this afternoon. Hoping either Nathan Dettmer or Will Johnson gets in for Mesa. Braden Montgomery hasn't played this fall so I'm assuming he's hurt. This is far better than spring training if anyone takes a fall trip out here.

I went yesterday and saw the highest scoring game in AFL history. 21-14. Will Johnston pitched 1 2/3 perfect innings. Went back today to see Braden Montgomery's team but he's not playing. Nathan Dettmer has had a forgettable game. 1 IP, 4 H, 3 BB, 6 ER. He hasn't been good this fall. Johnston has been perfect the last 2 times I've seen him pitch.

Would not be surprised to see Braden make the ChiSox roster out of Spring Training. Certainly should get a call up at some point next season if not part of the Opening Day squad.

Me either. He's just a ball player. I've seen some really good looking young players this fall. If anyone loves baseball and has free time from first week of October through second week of November you can watch a lot of baseball for cheap

They play at 6 different spring training facilities around the Valley which are obviously very nice and you can park right by the front gate and sit anywhere you want to. I'm going to games in Mesa Tuesday and Scottsdale Wednesday and that's the end of the season.

19 of the 52 players on this year's WS rosters played in this league including Aaron Judge.

The All Star Game is tomorrow night on MLB Network at 7 CST.

Will got the win tonight didn't he? I'm going to Peoria at Mesa tomorrow and Mesa at Scottsdale Wednesday. Do you live in the west Valley? The Fall League is great for baseball fans.

Not sure. Tommy White scored the go ahead run in the top of the 5th. Johnston pitched the 6th. Games are 7 innings.

FYI they stop selling beer after the 5th...

I've been to 11 games so far and the only 7 inning games were the doubleheaders they played after the floods the second weekend. I'm going today and tomorrow. I'm assuming if this week's M-W games are 7 innings it's to save pitching for the playoffs starting Thursday.

Dettmer is starting for Mesa today and that's the game I'm going to. He's struggling this fall.

Will Johnston in to protect a 3-0 Mesa lead over Salt River in round one of the playoffs. He's been really good this fall.

I went to Rangers Spring Training one year and went to many of these beautiful parks. There are so many within a 30 or 45 min drive. I think one day we were able to catch 3 games. It was easy to catch 2 a day I bet the fall league is just as fun.

It's much better than spring training. Parking is free, tickets are <$15 and you sit wherever you want. Today's game was played in 1 hour 53 minutes. On my side of town Sloan Park, Cubs headquarters, and Salt River Fields, Diamondbacks and Rockies, are excellent. We were at Scottsdale Stadium today where the Giants train and it's fine but not nearly as nice unless you want to hit Old Town afterwards.

The Cubs facility is closest to me so all the games I've seen this fall, 13, have been Solar Sox. Some have been at other stadiums. Dettmer and Johnston play for them. Dettmer has had a rough fall. Johnston has been really solid. Heading to Salt River Fields at Talking Stick today to watch them play the Surprise Saguaros for a berth in the championship game tomorrow.
