Not going to lie I was expecting to absolutely hate them but these aren't bad. The gold belt buckle is a nice touch.

Also if they're planning to have the whole corps at the game on Wednesday that's a pretty good idea to pack the student section for a game that's probably going to have a mediocre crowd otherwise.

I too was prepared to hate them, but they actually did a pretty good job. I'm torn on the belt buckle, can't decide if I like it or hate it.

It's simultaneously grotesque and beautiful in different ways.

The faux buckle being the most grotesque. If you want to go with a belt we should just wear like 1920s throwbacks in the years before elastic waistbands were a thing.

The off white/beige with the maroon is amazing though and I wish was more of a primary color scheme for us.

Y'all are looking at it all wrong. Our less-good defenders can use those belt buckles to reflect light into the shooter's eyes.

Defense is going to be 20% better Wednesday.

Something that shouldn't be lost on this is also (hopefully) a push to get more corps members in the building more consistently. I know the students have been showing out for the most part, but imo the student sections should be 100% full every game.

I was thinking this too. I wish the corps would support sports more than just football. Even an outfit or two coming out every game would help fill out the student section.

Good gravy, those are hideously awful. Just terrible. And we wonder why people make Aggie jokes. A&M has not only the worst marketing team in college athletics, but possibly the worst in the world. I really hope I win the lottery someday so I can donate enough money to stop us from doing ridiculous crap like this. I would love to know which athletic department bigwig gave the green light to this idea.

Agree with this . As a former BQ I am embarrassed at how pitifully the Corps has supported Aggie hoops . I get that there are constant time demands and that there are often higher priorities but the 10 or 15 people per game I see seems ridiculously low. Same goes for the remainder of the student body imo but not as bad as Corps attendance

I wasn't aware it was optional to attend basketball games out of uniform for Corps members . That helps explain what looks like ridiculously piss poor support on their part .

Don't give me this "well the players like em or whatever." Play the game, wear the marron and white, and win some ****ing games. That's what they are PAID to do. This is applicable to all sports.

If you want cadets to show up, you've gotta let them get out of evening formation if it's a mid week game and then also don't make them wear a uniform. If the concessions stands could accept dining dollars that would help too, thought that's unlikely.

Now if it's Corps night and you've got a block and they didn't have to buy a ticket, make them wear the uniform.

Jerseys literally look like our normal white jerseys but with a gold belt-buckle. I see zero difference from our normal jerseys besides that.

No, they make fun of A&M because our male-cheerleaders named Yell Leaders which are called Gay, and our Corps-block at football games.
