We've lost basically every close game because we can't close games.

Tonight, we had three good looks from 3 and bricked them.

Griffin had a good look vs Bama missed it.

Auburn really lucky we didn't lose. Missed 3/4 FTs at the end.

UT can't pull down a board of a FT twice.

SMU we turn it over twice with minimal pressure for no reason.

We did finish Pitt on the line and LSU we tried to choke away but they choked harder. I guess we closed tu out, but led by 11 with 3 min left and needed 1 FT to put it away.

I don't fault Bucky for this. It just is what it is.

I'd say we don't have a guy that we can just give the ball to and know they're gonna get at least a decent look. We have a bunch of spot shooters, a driver that's a bad shooter, and one absolute wild card in Pop Isaacs who can create his own shot but is just as likely to try a lob to Jacari Lane or something.

Like on that final possession I had no idea what we'd try to do. My best guess was try some kind of Lane/Agee quick pick and roll or something.

We just have a lot of athletically inferior guys that generally play hard and smart. A lot of our misses around the basket are on rim cuts and back doors. You can almost see that our guys are going to the rim at a speed that's outside their ability to control. They know that because we can't play above the rim, those windows are going to close fast and consequently we miss a lot of layups.

I thought this was going to be about misses near the basket

Hopefully next years team is better at that part of the game

May be an unpopular opinion but I say we roll the dice with our wild card Pop Isaacs for end of game situations. He definitely doesn't shy away from the shot and even if we don't draw up the play for him he will draw some attention - if the play breaks down he may be our best guy to ad lib.

Monster roster limitations in general in terms of size, strength and athletic ability, and two of our biggest players (Mgbako and Fede) have contributed 0 this season.

I actually thought we looked tired last night. From about the middle of the 2nd half on, it seemed that Mizzou was a step ahead of us in everything. Maybe I'm off base, but that was my thought last night. I like our style and it's certainly entertaining, but I'm wondering if the constant "hair on fire" way of play is taking its toll on our dude's legs late in the season.

I'm tending to agree here.

We missed some point blank layups last night and some free throws that you absolutely have to have at home. It shouldn't have been a 1 point game at the end and was lost during that horrible offensive stretch at the start of the 2nd half.

Teams got the yips, every team hits it. Better to have it now then in March.

Middle of the second half, but i agree. The start of the second half we traded punches with them for a while.

They started 65% in the first half. Isaacs and Dominguez have the yips.

Pop hasn't earned end of game minutes. In most competitive games he's been a liability.
