Why do all the commentators even Bucky State that Dibba isn't really a three-point shooter when he averages 54% shooting threes. He seems to be a hidden gem in terms of shooting and would like to see him in at the end of ball games for his shooting percentage.

He's not a pure perimeter shooter in the sense that his gather and release is really slow. You're not going to be running him off screens to catch and shoot with limited space. He needs a lot of time to get a shot off, but when he does his accuracy is outstanding. This is what Bucky is getting at with the nickname "Set Shot Ali".

When he drives, he looks like a guy who should be going all the way to the rim with power vs. shooting floaters. That part of his game makes no sense to me.
Yeah, it's the frequency. He averages shooting just over one three a game. Most announcers will say he doesn't shoot them often but when he does he makes them at a high rate.

Yeah his technique is a little jacked as well. I haven't looked at it closely but I think it's more two handed than optimal to go along with a really slow release.
What a player for us though. He has really stepped up since Mgbako went down.

He like all these guys know how to find open space. I wish he was just a little more athletic and strong going to the rack as he never dunks nor tries. He seems really weak he finishes ok but didnt last night.
I do wish he'd go in there like Q and just try to dunk it a few times a game. He's not particularly good at this floaters or layups anyway. Though he is only 6/15 at the FT line so maybe not.

Agree. He just has that thick build. I bet he carries 10 to 15 pounds more than similar height and size players. He's just sting and should attack
Realize my posts on this thread seem overly negative on Dibba when that's not the case at all. He's been really good lately.

Nah just wishing he'd dunk it instead of a floater or weak layup. He gets pushed off too easy. Hill is great attacking and finishing.
