Anyone know a good person to remove a few roots? Need to cut around a broken sprinkler pipe so it can be fixed.

On these situations I usually leave the root alone and relocate the pipe under it on the repair

Hard to tell how big the root is from the picture but unless it's really big, I'd cut it. If you don't want to cut it, I'd dig a new pipe path as best as possible and then use a pressure washer to dig and/or tunnel the areas that you can't dig out.

It appears that the roots are close to house. I would cut all of them for sure. If you do have room to go around the tree would be great, but I can tell you from our irrigation work we cut roots like that all the time. Unless they are right by the base of the tree.

Go under it unless there are just lots of them
90 or 45 down to get past the root

What kind of tree is it ?

Some trees don't like it when you cut roots
