Friends,
Hoping to get some free advice here. Long story short, we have Samsung 2 door refrigerator with cold drink drawer and horizontal freezer at the bottom. Recently we have noticed that significant water leakage on the floor and also that the freezer wont close all the way. I have looked and there is nothing blocking its ability to close so there is no mechanical obstruction. Looking for any advice and technician recommendations (Tomball area, 249 and northpoint to be exact).

Thanks in advance.

You might check the defrost drain to see if it's frozen. Happened to our Samsung and seemed to be a common problem. Leaked into the fridge drawers, but I could see it making it to the freezer and building up ice. Cheap part from Amazon.

Do you have an ice maker? I believe the temp of the ice maker is controlled by the freezer even if the ice maker isn't in the freezer. So if you're freezer door isn't closed it will likely shut off, causing above freezing temps, and melting the ice.

Do you have ice and water in the door? Right after we bought ours, I found the gasket where the hopper in the door doesn't quite sit right where it connects to the ice maker in the fridge. It would frost up, then melt and leak. Found the youtube fix of adding backer rod foam behind the gasket to beef it up a bit and make a tighter seal. Nine months later wife was finding puddles in front of the fridge. Thought it was either the bottom freezer leaking or grandkids splashing water. Turned out to be the flapper door in the ice dispenser. Doesn't quite sit right, ice gets trapped and/or it would leak air and frost up, then melt and leak.

Last fridge was an LG. Made it 12 years then up and died. We might could have had it fixed but didn't want to fool with a 12 year old appliance. This Samsung dumped the refrigerant charge after about four months, and has had ice issues off and on for the last year. Should have listened to the idea that you shouldn't buy appliances from a cell phone company.

Class action lawsuits for LG because of crap compressors. So not like they're much better....just different problems.

i do have an icemaker. sounds to me like the drain is clogged and overflows water into the freezer and causes ice build up which prevent full closure of the freezer drawer. thanks!

Great video. I think that might what is happening except water is leaking into the freezer somehow.
Thanks!
