Dishwasher has apparently been slowly leaking for a good while now, and had to trash it and fix/tear out/replace subfloor
All other appliances in the house are Whirlpool/WP Gold, stainless color style.
Looking online, there are essentially 3 choices - plastic tub, hybrid or fully stainless.
Is the fully stainless the only route to go? Reviews on all dishwashers make it obvious that they fail often, even though mine seemed to have lasted a good while before the leak

This topic just needs to be stickied....

Probably pops up every other month (at least) and always a clear most recommended answer.

Always bought Stainless Steel interiors since before 2000 with NO problems whatsoever
Problems to mention

• Drain grinder TOY ala disposer that breaks instead of a filter to clean
• Bosch inability to CLEAN = the purpose of such a machine
• Bosch poor design of racks to load/clean/stay on track
• Bosch racks rusting out
• Bosch 11 years then NO Clean + covertly leaks onto neighboring rooms' floors ... never happened with other brands since 1980

After reading waaaay too many reviews, I ended up buying a Whirlpool S/S tub, paid $1049 with a 3 year warranty. I plan on placing a plastic liner in the built-in space, and sliding a water leak sensor underneath the machine to monitor any slow leaks that may arise

Two things are clear now -1) dishwashers are not made like they used to be made, and 2) reviews, good and bad, should be taken with a huge grain of salt. I read the same review, word for word with same pictures from "customers" on multiple big box stores.
