Overpriced and basic vs competitive chairs that offer better features and textiles for half the cost. Take a look at rooms to go, they stock both lazyboy and many others.

I worked for a furniture store during college that carried La-Z-Boy recliners. They sold a ton of them the three years I worked there. Their simplicity is why it will last you a long time because when they do break, their individual components are all available and can be changed out by virtually anyone with a hex head screwdriver. A lot of the other brands have complete reclining mechanisms that are basically one piece with each part fastened to one another by riveting. If you're dead set against La-Z-Boy take a look at Flexsteel. They are/were pretty solid units (30 years ago at least) but won't be as easy to work on as LB…
