Howdy,
This is on one of our sinks at the office. My employee came and got me because the top literally rusted off and water is leaking around it to the point where there is barely any water making it down the hose. I'd like to avoid a call to the plumber and swap this part out. Appreciate any help.

Vacuum breaker. There may be a rebuild kit or there may be a replacement or you may have to replace the whole faucet depending on the age/make/model. Many times, the pertinent information is on top of the corroded cap that isn't visible in the pic.

As long as the specs for pressure and temp are right, it shouldn't matter which one you replace it with.

Biggest concerns will be matching the sizes of the existing connections.

That's my only concern as well. I'm going to take it off tonight and go to Lowe's and see if I get lucky.

I guess that's why everyone says Home Depot is better than Lowe's. I had no idea lol
