Sprinkler System - MP Rotator Issues

I've got a system with MP Rotator heads. I like the stream type and rate of water they put out, but they constantly stop rotating and I have to replace them.

It's an easy job, but they aren't cheap. Anyone have a solution to keep them from clogging / stop rotating?

I've also hypothesized it someone depends on water pressure as I get different results when I test during the day vs. early morning when everyone is running their systems.

Easy to take apart and clean. You can grease them while doing that. But honestly switching the heads to the 40 psi regulated heads helped me a lot with that issue

These heads are the only ones that clog in our yards in a big way. You can buy the filters separately and replace them as needed. Note there are different sizes of filters and the bigger the better and the slower they will clog! Unscrew the top thread, swap to use a clean filter, then screw the head back on.

We keep a 10 pack of heads and filters on hand for these emergencies.

Same issue. I have the rainbird version. You can pull up on the nozzle to self-clean when they are running, but it is only a temporary fix.

You might need to flush the zone sounds like you have built up sediment in the lines if the same nozzles stop up. Spray nozzles will more than likely not give you the same coverage. Low pressure will also effect them turning also.

I don't think it's sediment. None that I've pulled in the past have had sediment issues. Low pressure is more likely. I'm at the far end of the line with my MUD and water pressure early in the morning is noticably low when everyone has their sprinklers going.
