My hone has a few sections on the front that are stucco. The rest is brick with some siding on the back side of the second floor.
Never been a fan of stucco and want to replace with a stone look. It sounds like cast stone might ne a good option. Thoughts?

Removing stucco is going to be a pain and likely end up damaging your sheathing and definitely compromise your waterproofing layer. Could give some additional comments based on your elevations. As far as aesthetics cast stone is a wide range of material. Looking at actual dimensional units or any artificial stone product that's may look like traditional limestone.

The areas that are stucco now also very likely don't have a "brick ledge" which you'd typically have present for brick or cast stone.

I'd just leave it be

This is one of the areas. It is surrounded by brick with a brick patio.

One man's opion here. Stone would look very busy against the brick. Our first place had a similar design with cast stone and brick, and there was too much going on.

Maybe just change the color of the stucco?

It is possible. Just looking at options as we really dislike stucco, especially in the humid Houston climate.

I have an inspection scheduled and if everything is good I will probably just have it cleaned and maybe repainted. If it is trashed then I need to look at all options.

I don't like the look of stucco at all, but from that small sample that looks great. Beautiful brick!
