My 31 year old GE refrigerator (a champ that has been relegated to the garage, but the best appliance I have ever owned) needs a new door gasket for the refrigerator (right side) door. I contacted GE. That part is no longer available.

You guys are good at this kind of stuff… can you help me find a replacement?

Same thing happened to me with 25 year old refrigerator needing a new gasket. When I did find a new gasket that would fit, the cost was over half the price of a new basic refrigerator. I ended up replacing the refrigerator.

I might pay the cost. This thing will run forever.

No luck finding a part online. Best bet is to buy a universal door gasket kit and make one.
