I have a GE dishwasher GDP665SYNFS

Nothing but problems, have had to replace multiple parts on it. The last couple months, the vent fan stays on continuously. Door open of closed. After a cycle has finished, for hours even after opening the door. Is this a control board problem? Trying to decide if I want to swap the board or cut my losses and buy a Bosch.

Do you have wood floors? Buy a Bosch. My worry about a dishwasher in the fritz is inlet valve failure - washer not even on, but then fills with water and floods your house. Ask me how I know this (what a lovely return from a weekend out of town).

All Bosch models have leak containment

Definitely seems like an electrical bug.

Even with a high end KA, we ended up with a wiring fault in the detergent dispenser box that was a result from condensation running down the door face from the vent in the door.

We replaced the motor and motherboard before finding this out. Luckily have a great repair guy and he only charged me the service fee and no parts since he could get reimbursed on those.

If you'd had the DW more than 3-4 years, I'd cut bait. Buy a Bosch or the HIGHEST end KA available (still a good DW just a stupid design in that model).

Definitely sucks. Have seen some used control boards for $50 on eBay, might roll the dice one last time. Thanks y'all
