Help me out, I have lot of nutsedge growing in my rose bed. I've usually been able to keep it under control by digging out the "nut" of the few that pop up here and there. But I have neglected this bed and there are way too many to manually take care of them. And they are all the way up to the base of the roses.

What's a sedge killer that is safe to use with roses?

I use sedgehammer and have not had any issues with our roses. Just be careful sparying and try to avoid overspray

Burying the lead! How the hell do you still have roses not destroyed by rose rosette virus?

Called Antique Rose Emporium, lady on the phone said that all sedge herbicides will damage roses. She suggested to paint the herbicide on the nutsedge. I didn't go that far, but used a carboard barrier and carefully sprayed just the nutsedge. Hoping that my aim was true!

Dig it up. It'll come back, so do it again. And again. And again. Eventually it'll stop. I had a lot of nutsedge in our yard before sodding, and of course it came through. I just kept pulling it up everywhere I saw it, and it finally went away. No herbicides needed

dig it out deeply, or sedgehammer. Wait two week and reapply if needed.
