Kitchen sink has a long run to water heater and I hate wasting water. I had an outlet under sink on its own circuit put in at construction (separate from garbage disposal). If I tie an electric instant water heater to hot water, will it stop heating once the water hits whatever temp the thermostat is at? Is there any risk of temperature spike that would require any other equipment?

Ours has a built-in tank. Works great.
