I agree no solutions in visual barriers + some consequences come with some.
Suggesting the solution lies in the Deterrent Approches, be they plants, smells, ground features, irrigation, sprays, elimination of attractants. - no mothballs! -
That said, have pursued most of those and still looking but with no outside dogs in this race, have turned focus on house & sheds damaging raccoons & squirrels relocating here due to neighboring developments' push.
The skunks (& possums) have been instrumental in removing termites, grubs, other pests and even the most impossible of all, the ground nesting yellowjackets (the horrors of such an attack are never forgotten)
