Anyone use any of the wifi pool sensors that measures all the chemical levels and alerts you? Trying to make things si.oler if possible.

Never used either. Waterguru seems to have favorable reviews on TFP, but also curious if anyone here has experience.

Appears so. It wouldn't replace periodic testing with my Taylor kit, but it would reduce the frequency. Not sure it reduces enough work to be worth it.

So that's kind of the exact reason I wanted to get it. Why would you still need to manually test if this shows you the same levels?

I test my FC and PH every few days. I only test alkalinity, hardness, and CYA periodically. I try to do it weekly, but just looked at my tracker and haven't tested these in over two weeks. May be worthwhile after all.

I'm a gadget guy so was intrigued by WaterGuru. But in the end I couldn't convince myself to spend $30 / month on cartridges vs $30 / year on test refills.

Considering getting one of these, especially since the latest model expands the testing to include TA, CH, and CYA.

Would appreciate recent experiences with Water Guru.

They are the best of the in-pool sensors, but functionality was somewhat limited with their original product. I've got their new one, the S2 and have been benchmarking it against a photometer, and it has been pretty accurate so far.

Do you always use the cassette that does the 5 tests (FC, pH, TA, CH, CYA) or do you swap out with the 2 test cassette (FC, pH)? If so, how frequently do you swap them? Curious because I typically would test pH and FC multiple times a week, but only TA / CH / CYA once a week or once every two weeks.

I'm testing with the C5, will roll over to the C2 for off-season, and cycle between the two once the testing cycle I'm running is finished.

I questioned our pool service's work and results for a while and decided to get a guru with the c5 to compare. My ph and fc numbers were way off from theirs. So, I took samples for a few weeks to Leslie's. Learned rather quickly the guru and Leslie's were very close to each others readings. Fired the pool service.

I take water samples to Leslie's once per month just to make sure the gadget is still performing. So far, worth it

Leslie's uses a LeMotte spin tester, so it's typically pretty accurate. The only issue I've had using it is the CH reading can be inaccurate if the disks are old/expired/left in hot weather.

Your best bet is to use a test kit, I personally like the Taylor K-2005C because it gives you the ability to test everything on your own.
