In-laws gifted me a full gift card for a LAB - very nice surprise! Curious who has one and what they like/don't like.

Model, specs, color, etc!

I have had the DF3 since this summer. Absolutely love it. The zero torque was a complete game-changer for me. Before I was the guy that might have 7-8 putters in my office including a few Scotty's that would go in and out of my bag, but I have been gradually selling them all off. Never a thought to put another putter in it after I got this one.

I do recommend watching some of the practice videos that the inventor/owner posts. There is one particular drill (putting with no thumbs on the putter) that helps keep me grooved.

Mine is black and stock specs, so boring but I saved a decent chunk of change. Before buying, I rolled an absolute ****load of putts on several occasions with a stock at PGA and it always seemed perfect. Before trying, I thought if anything I might need a bit upright. That was not the case - I tried a friend's that is 3 upright and it wasn't right for me. I tend to think if you are far off stock, your setup and/or stroke is probably ****ed up.

DF3, game changer in my opinion. I think it's worth getting a fitting.

DF3 here. got fitted. I really like it and wouldn't change...although I wouldn't call it a game changer.

I ended up going with a different brand's zero torque putter, but tried all of the LABs extensively before I pulled the trigger..

The DF-3 is great. However, it can take some getting used to from a visual perspective. It's the wildest looking of all the LABs.

The only one I downright hated was the Link.1 (blade style). It just seemed like a failed attempt at a blade, which is why you don't see a lot of people using them.

Far and away my favorite was the OZ.1 center shaft. Can get with their standard face or a steel insert depending how you like the putter to feel off the ball. LABs are naturally kind of soft so it can be tough going from a regular putter to that soft face.. takes some getting used to at the very least.

At the end of the day, LABs are great and give you plenty of customization options. Get fitted and spec it out how you want it.

Get fitted for sure. My angle is 63 degrees versus normal 67. Love my DF3 but look at new OZ.I as a fried has it and its really nice too.

You don't need upgraded "Bryson" shaft so don't get talked into it.

Grip is important decision.

And I like center lines on my putters so picked one that goes through entire circle. I would pick a bright colored one so you see your ball better in contrast especially if your older like me with not great vision

Mine is 35" with an Accra shaft and 2 degree press pistol shaft. Love it.

I just recently bought the OZ.1 (steel face insert) heel shafted with the standard Press Pistol forward 2 degree grip. It feels great, sounds great and sets up well. Have not played with it yet, but practiced a couple of hours with it at club's practice green.

Great info! What about color? I'm not particularly partial to any specific one - wondering if one color shows less wear than others.

I've got a Mezz Max standard and a counterbalance DF3. Both are fantastic. For me, the counter balance is nails within 5 feet. I struggle with distance control with it though. With the Mezz Max, I have the speed down, just off target a hair more. Both great putters!

Oz1 and absolutely love it. Most traditional looking to a mallet. The online fitting was amazing and has improved my putting by 2-3 strokes a round.
