I feel like I have lost a little swing speed. I am not sure if it is due to aging, not lifting weights as much as I used to, or because and don't swing for the fences at every swing like I used to. It might be a little bit of everything.

Back when I got my driver my swing speed was around 106 with driver so I followed advice from google and got everything stiff. As I have gotten better at golf and I have a more controlled swing and my driver swing speed is in the mid to high 90s.

My kid has ladies flex shafts and I seem to hit them fairly well and I like that little extra you get from the shaft, but that flex is still way too much for me. Because of this, I am starting to think that I might be better off with regular flex shafts. Most of my clubs are not very old so I was hoping I could possibly come out of it getting my current irons reshafted. Do people do this at fitting places or is it always about selling new clubs?

Very similar situation. I felt my swing speed slowed down as well and was not comfortable nor confident in hitting my driver. Went to Newton Golf's webpage and bought a shaft that is better tailored to my swing speed. I'm not bombing it off the tee now but i'm hitting good, straight drives. Liked it so much, bought one for my 3-wood.

I'm 69 and my driver speed is high-90's. Every fitting I've had the last few years, irons or driver, has recommended stiff for me.

Now, there are all different kinds of stiff shafts. I'm hitting stiff shafts that are not heavy.

Got new irons last year and he kept me in stiff shafts but like you, way lighter than my old irons. I hit them well but my driver was giving me fits until I got the Newton shaft. Those shafts aren't cheap but they cost way less than a new driver.

This is an important statement. I hit X100s, PX, and C Tapers all very differently.

Yes, they do just reshaft clubs. I'm in the exact same situation and getting fit soon. I'll be doing new irons though because even when you reshaft with basic, non-high end shafts you will be at 50% or higher than just getting new clubs. My irons are 6 years old, and while they are fine, I'll choose to just get a whole new setup based on fit results since I'll be halfway there anyways. But if you really like your heads and have good numbers, reshafting may be fine.

To be fair if you put the same shafts in a new set of irons the cost delta will be higher as you are paying to build new irons with non-stock shafts.

To reshaft:
$40/shaft X 8 clubs = $320 (decent not great shaft)
Labor = ~$100
Grips = ~$100
Grip labor = ~$30

Total = $550 and higher.

At $550 it's almost worth getting fit for new clubs. Sure is 2-3x but might be a better ROI

After i made this post I looked up the brand of my current shaft and they are $65 each without all of the other costs added on. I may just do a fitting anyway and see if I hit their recommended clubs much better than my current clubs.

I could probably order a new set of irons if it really makes a difference.
