Mostly large schools involved and the Aggies are the sole Top 10 team but I am sure there are some very good golfers on the other teams.

Ooff! Vanessa had a nice round going until the triple bogey on 18.

Holes #1 and #17 must be HARD. We're combined 10 over on those 2 holes.

Currently sitting in second. 1 shot behind Baylor about 3/4 of the way through our opening round.

Results after the first round:

As a team, the Aggies are in 2nd place with an overall score of +5, only one stroke behind Baylor's +4.

Top Aggies are Brynn, tied for 2nd with a -1, five strokes behind a Kentucky player at -6 whilst Vannessa is tied for 4th with an even par on the day.

The lead is easily obtainable in both individual and team categories with two rounds remaining.

There is a slight difference in the time the first Aggie tees off tomorrow but I'll put it down as just after 12:00 CST.

Coach Chadwell said the cold was a factor, "50 degrees lower than what we are used to", but we will do better and it will certainly help with the later start times!

Today's 2nd round tee times (from live update site) for Aggies, all start on 1st hole:

12:32, Natalie
12:41, Sky
12:50, Vanessa
12:59, Cayetana

The individual leader, a Sophomore from Finland (went to HS in Edinburgh, Scotland), is in Sky's threesome. Sky, from the Woodlands, is 9 strokes behind her.

Hopefully will be warmer with the later starts!

Still really early, but so far it looks like the course is playing pretty difficult today. Only 3 players currently under par for the day. A lot of golf to be played though.

Baylor is off to a less than ideal start and has faded. That leaves us currently in first as a team by a couple shots over second.

Had a rough back nine but still in the hunt for the team championship. Need some great play and breaks to go our way to take the individual title. We have the talent to do both so we'll see !!

Aggie tee times for today's final round (all start on 1st hole):

7:15 - Natalie (FR)
7:24 - Vanessa (SO)
7:33 - Cayetana (JR)
7:42 - Sky (JR)
7:51 - Brynn (FR)

Freshman Brynn's threesome, the only three in the field with sub-par overall scores, includes her and the two players tied for the lead, the girl from Kentucky (Finland) and from Baylor (Norway). Brynn is 5 strokes behind them. The Baylor girl had the best score of the round yesterday, a -7.

Note that Vanessa, our outstanding Sophomore, shot a +5 yesterday (with two double bogies) - very unusual for her. She will do better today!

The Aggie ladies and Baylor have really separated themselves from the rest of the field.

Our girls currently are sitting in second, but are 8 and 10 shots ahead of the third and fourth place teams and just 3 back of the leader Baylor.

I don't understand why our team doesn't use push carts. I would think that would help with the wear and tear over the course of the tournament and the season instead of carrying their bags.

Historical win !!!

The Aggies have won the first two tournaments of a season for the first time in program history !!!

The Aggies came from three strokes behind Baylor at the start of the day to win by three strokes over Baylor.

Freshman Brynn Kort ties with Kentucky's Cathryn Brown for 2nd place with a -3 total.

Each round a different Aggie took the reigns, highlighting our depth. On the opposite end, each day saw a different Aggie with a 'does not count' score.

Only three players have an overall sub-par score in the tournament, two from Kentucky and one from A&M.

But Kentucky finished 3rd as a team. This again highlights our depth. I have been looking forward to this since the Freshman class signed with us, adding great new talent to our talented returners !!!

Next tournament not until October 7 at the NB3 Matchplay at Twin Warrior in New Mexico.

Pretty sure we will see a different lineup because there will be qualifications before that tournament. Perhaps we will see Avery or Scarlett (Freshmen) or Louise (French girl, transfer from Georgia Southern) ?!
