Thinking about buying a launch monitor. Was researching the Skytrack+ and Bushnell LPI. I am just looking for something I can use on the back patio(covered) or garage to practice and maybe play some courses for fun with fiends and my kids. I have no desire to take it to the range, not worried too much about all of the club data, etc. Might build out a full simulator bay in the garage down the road but for now the plan is to start small and I will likely just hook it up to the outdoor tv and hit balls off a mat into a net. Any recommendations appreciated and if anyone has a lead on a quality used one I would be interested as well.

I was going to recommend Square until you mentioned the back patio. Not great with the sun light, but it is outstanding inside (especially for the price).

Patio is fully covered and large oak tree provides shade across most of the yard so I wonder if it might work ok under those circumstances.

I don't know. Some people claim to have had issue with it next to a window where direct sunlight comes in. You may look at the Rapsodo MLM2PRO so you don't have to worry about the sunlight. I don't think you can putt with the MLM2PRO like you can square, but something to look into.

There are definitely other options if you want to increase the price, but based on what you had posted I was just giving a great budget option.
