Luke Kwon is the biggest dewshbag in golf

Kwon is a try-hard and cringe.

I only watch Taco Golf and his NZ boys and I skip all the videos they film with Kwon.

Sad thing is I laugh harder at his vids with the NZ boys more than any but idk if I can watch him after that showing.

Kwon is typical OU frat kid. No one seems to like him, can't expect him to be in the YT space long term (relatively)

Ryan Whitney was giving him the business there at the end. You don't want to piss off the hockey guys.

BTW, I don't watch a lot of Barstool stuff, but I think my favorite part of this whole thing is how confused Dave Portnoy is about everything. Him rolling his eyes at the driver off the deck guy and then being mystified by Fat Perez was incredible.

From the jump this is hilarious, the captains picks, draft, etc. Just all the trash talking, characters they have there. Where is Sean Walsh? Feel like JFF should have been in there. Him and Gruden as a team would have been perfect.

Santino's comment about Chaz "good little swing" had me rolling. This whole series is going to be solid.

yeah but 7 to 5 is a hell of a lot different than 8 to 4. Kwons match was an auto win

There is no USGA rule covering how scramble play is conducted. But you can probably use Rule 23 as a proxy as fourball and scramble are both team events where a score can be recorded solely by the play of 1 partner.

23.4 One of Both Partners May Represent the Side
The side may be represented by one partner during all or any part of a round. It is not necessary for both partners to be present or, if present, for both to play on each hole.

If a partner is absent and then arrives to play, that partner may start play for the side only between the play of two holes, which means;

- Match play - If the partner arrives only after any player on either side in the match has started play of a hole, that partner is not allowed to play for the side until the next hole.

- Stroke play - If the partner arrives only after the other partner has started play of a hole, the arriving partner's not allowed to play for the side until the next hole.


This happened at my USGA Fourball qualifier last year, the 4th guy finally showed up on the 3rd tee just before we began the hole and proceeded to dunk it from 110 for an eagle.

I'll also throw in, the only YT golf I've ever watched is The Major Cut stuff with the Bryan Bros and Grant and they're obviously really good players. A bunch of these dudes seem really bad and I say that as someone who sucks. Where's my chance to win a million lol.

Fair enough. Kwon still got what he deserved. My sympathy would be more so had he not been a total dick to PFT the night before and day of....all while showing practically ZERO remorse for his childish actions. Its not like his tee time was 645.... it was 9 freaking 30. Just selfish beyond belief.

haven't watched any of it, but is this tournament actually serious? With barstool involved I cant tell wtf the purpose of this is. Everyone baggin on this Kwon guy for being late makes me wonder was it on purpose so he could be a "villian"? Just trying to understand this thing....

1.7 million in prize money.... Most are taking it pretty seriously

When DOD made his debut on the first hole I hated him, but I find most of the other competitors so unentertaining that I camp around on him in the second video.

I don't normally consume YouTube golf content, but this had enough YouTube personalities in general and buzz around it to get me interested. So far I've found it funny how different I feel about the competitors than what seems like most people commenting on the videos do, as someone that is strictly looking for entertainment. I really don't know how Bob Does Sports, Good Good, and Grant Horvant have huge followings. This is pretty much my only exposure to them, but they seem so boring. Every hole it's just them politely telling the people they're up against how well they did and then occasionally talking some **** when they're out of ear shot in the cart. I know golf is generally a polite sport and not super high energy, but I just don't understand how those boring people I mentioned have built up to having 1+ million YouTube subscribers.

Anyways, I've enjoyed the series so far, and I don't mean to **** on people that I would imagine have a decent amount of fans in this thread.

The guys you listed don't give people reasons to hate them. DOD does. He'll gain followers because of it, but he'll lose a lot more bc of it.

BDS is likeable and has guests, Good Good has different personalities and they're in a lot of different spots and Grant is really good and plays with Phill and other pro golfers.

Watched it. 12 v 12 (two teams playing for $1.7 million) best-ball format, bunch of YouTubers, Barstool people, John Gruden, and Paige Spiranic, who they didn't show nearly enough of but that's a different topic. Kwon overslept and missed his team's tee-time, cost them that match because he was penalized 4 holes for missing the tee-time, and his partner is a ****ty golfer, so they were 4 down before he hit his first shot. And he's supposed to be a good golfer (I've never heard of the guy before today). Some of his teammates were pretty pissed and he seems to have taken a GAF attitude about it. Have not watched Part 2.

Got about an hour left in ep 1. The guy I'm most impressed with as far as actual golf skill is Berkshire. He's not just a long drive guy anymore. Putting is a little suspect but rest of the game looks solid.

Tons of commentary from so many about the Kwon situation. Nothing better than the Spittin Chiclets crew just ranting about it.....in costumes. Whit hated that dude with a passion.

seems like every player was dropping f bombs constantly. I'm no prude but wow! it got annoying. these folks should recognize that might turn off some viewers. And, get a thesaurus already!

Yeah I wasn't gonna jump in the thread and instantly start arguing with people, but saying he'd lose more followers form this than he'll gains makes no sense. His followers already know the shtick, they aren't gonna be surprised by anything they see in this that causes them stop following.

Not saying people have to like him, but so far if I had to choose winners on who I think will have the largest followers boosts I'm leaning Chaz then him, and I won't be one of those followers. Excluding the women as they will gain for largely non golf related reasons.

Too much "Duke" in the videos, awful golf, awful takes on things, awful clothes. Oddest swing I've seen.

That poor guy teamed with him, a deaf guy would tell him to shut up in 5 minutes.
