The JMU Fighting Mads ain't making much of a statement tonight.

JMU and Tulane should not have been in the playoffs, ND and BYU should have made it.

I don't think Tech will "destroy" Oregon but I think they can win with their strengths of constant pressure on the Ducks QB, shutting down the run, attacking their young corners and winning the turnover battle

You're absolutely right. However, we are no strangers to being considered a relative unknown that managed to fight tooth and claw to the big stage. Kinda hard not to root for an underdog or Cinderella. Makes for entertaining speculation, but the end result usually ends in what we witnessed with JMU or Tulane. I will say that the Oregon and JMU game provided some very good data for Tech. Hope they make damn good use of it.

Actually Toledo is ranked higher than Tech in Total Defense....only 2nd to The Ohio State Buckeyes.

I think Oregon gives Tech a tough first half. Tech takes it in the second half.

Oregon vs JMU...Ducks looked a lot like the old Tech under Leach. They ran up the score in the first half and kinda ran outta gas in the second. Oregon has some big defenders and fast safeties. They will be looking to make Morton very uncomfortable sitting in the pocket. Morton is not a runner. Tech needs to make good on the running game.

It'll be important for Tech's defense to contain Oregon's offense to punts or field goal attempts in the first half. Once Oregon is gassed, Tech needs to be damned productive in the red zone; something they've had a little issue with this year. Tech defense has been absolutely brilliant this year. Should be a great game.

Run the ball, get turnovers, minimize mental mistakes…..

Tech has had a tendency to start slow and adapt. But starting slow today may be trouble.

All the pundits are talking about how Tech's defense hasn't seen an offense like Oregon's, and they are right, but defense travels.

What no one is talking about is how Oregon's defense hasn't seen an offense like Tech's, and they haven't. To me that will be the story.

Well TX Techsters, your defense is a pleasure to watch. And all the bad snaps and mishandles by Oregon are because your defense has them freaked out. Oregon is shocked by your quality.

You need to get a better QB on campus w some x factor. and you need to go out and buy some OL. and maybe a great receiver.

Joey has had not a small amount of criticism for not bringing in a QB in the portal. And Leftwich looks like a rookie OC. And credit Oregon. Their defense has played an amazing game. I also wonder how much the long break has affected the offense. This is easily the worst offense performance this season. Kudos to Oregon. They are a great team.

Meh. I will finish watching this but it's over. Tech has the best defense in the nation but this offense isn't championship caliber at all. With even a pedestrian offensive performance Tech would be winning this. Morton has been awful. Kudos to Oregons defense but this team just gave up 500 yards to JMU. Oregon is the better team.

It looks like teams with a bye are headed toward 0-6 last 2 seasons. Tech with way too many turnovers and an even worse offensive ineptitude than the Ags displayed.

Well...

Would have liked to see more offense, but they just couldn't seem get anything going. Oregon has a pretty stout team. Still proud of our guys. Been a fun season.
