The Big 12 has a possibility of 3 teams which are CFP eligible right now, same as the B1G. SEC has 5 and there's Notre Dame. Biggest challenge for the media is how to shoehorn a -3 loss Texas into the playoffs.

The mental gymnastics on display during the Texas and Georgia game last night were rather impressive. If they don't get in, you're right, it won't be for the media not trying. In this day of the expanded playoff, I don't really see the utility of a conference championship game for the SEC. Not much upside, a lot of downside. I think those conference championships are more important for a school that has to prove itself because the strength of schedule is suspect, like an ACC or big 12 school.

And that, Old Army, is why you pump tons of cash into a top notch journalism school so that you send Ag journos to every corner of the media. You don't close it down.

Honestly I stopped thinking about playoffs after losing to Florida, and hoped we could get to 10 wins including some lame bowl, It has been obvious this team isn't together enough to stay consistent, with all the close calls in games we should have controlled. I was looking for some development and forward progress.
Manning's passing has slowly improved, but his rushing contribution disappeared. He was a third of our rushing yards early in the season. So now he has to put the two together, like most of the QBs we face in the SEC who can do both.
Penalty issues all year. And Sark & co just got badly outcoached. Kirby really took it to him last night.

If sip receivers make catches in the first half, that game is different. This ain't on Arch.

That's why I am puzzled about Sark's decisions. Tech lost Morton to injury and their #2 stepped up. Utah lost Dampier and their #2 stepped up. Neither offense lost much. Yet Manning is left in.

yep there were as many drops as bad passes. Y'all had the drops but you powered through it. Concepcion had maybe the worst drop I've ever seen in my life.

We played well against OU. closest thing to a complete game. We played as a team. played the whole game.
That's the only quality football we've played.

I'm perfectly fine with our staff looking past the swine and spending every waking moment obsessing over the aggie game with the maniacal ag-hating intensity of randolf duke.

even after we beat you (duh it's obvious you're going down) I'll admit that y'all have a top 5 team and we're around 20.
