Got a quote back for my renewal and the rate has gone up something like 300%. Got a quote elsewhere and it is more of the same. Home is located in league City tx, not in a flood zone, no claims any time recently I am aware of so the massive spike is a bit perplexing. Does anyone have a good broker they can recommend? Initial increase is through Liere so they are out.

On a similar note, one agent gave me a Texas fair plan quote but it seems like their water damage only covers something like 5 grand, which isn't enough. The lady I got a quote from recently wasn't much help, but is it even worth exploring that route? Not truly familiar with what they even offer, just that it's generally last resort, although it was very cheap.
