Need some thoughts/suggestions on luggage. Ours is old and breaking apart.

My carry-on is a Tumi, which has been enjoyable and seems indestructible.

We need some bigger luggage - want it to look nice as well. The wife probably wants something nicer looking than me. We need an XL size as well for international travel.

Also, need some kid's luggage... something that they can use for the next 5 years or so as they graduate and go on trips. These don't have to be top line.

Plz help!

I like Samsonite hard shells.

We have 2 carry-ons, medium size and an XL.

Not sure if your wife is a Kohls shopper but they go on special often and stackable with coupons.

Personally I want this but not gonna happen.

We've recently bought from NOBL and have been really happy with it

I've been using a Burton checked bag for about 15 years and their carry on for about 5 years.

Mine are an older version so they only have 2 wheels instead of 4 wheels which is all the rage these days.

Kind of pricey but, they do have a Lifetime Warranty.

If you want professional traveller level stuff, look at LuggageWorks/Purdy Neat Stuff.

Just get more Tumi.

Fly to Bangkok or Vietnam and get you a fake one for around $50.

Yeah; I fly regularly for work and my B&R stuff has been great. It's not cheap but worth it imo.

We use Osprey wheeled duffels for our international travel. I use the Sojourn 36" when I have to pack a lot of cold weather clothing. It is definitely an XL, and I think that many would call it an XXL. My wife uses a 30" Sojourn. We also have a smaller Patagonia wheeled duffel for summer travel that she uses, and I take her 30" Sojourn. The Ospreys have proved to be very rugged over the years, so much so that if I ever have to replace them, I would not hesitate to go back to Osprey. The Patagonia has been fine too, but I don't think it is built as well as the Ospreys.

I had pretty good luck with Monos my first year of heavy travel.
Ive since moved up to Pellican

My wife is 15 years into her Briggs and Riley roller. Had to use the warranty once for a wheel , and it was quickly repaired. B&R is worth the price

I get those for free from the company, they are supposed to last for 2 years, they rarely last 6 months of work travel.

The only perq vs Luggage Works is they are cheaper and lighter.

Absolute junk in my experience.

I like our Away luggage. I've done a week in Europe in the summer with regular carryon and a weekender bag. We have a medium checked bag as well. I remember their large checked bag being massive if you're into that sort of thing.
