with my son for a guys ski trip.

Never been so any recs on restaurants? Have reservations at Hye Steakhouse so far and thats it.

Also, is one mountain necessarily better than the other between Whistler and Blackcomb? Good runs through the trees?

My most lasting memory of Whistler was the breakfast spread at the Fairmont Chateau.

I was skiing in May, so I was only able to ski the few open runs on Blackcomb.

My favorite ski areas are the symphony amphitheater (Whistler side) and 7th heaven area (blackcomb side). As far as one mountain over the other, I probably slightly prefer Whistler, but whichever side had the better visibility is my favorite that day. It's been pretty warm at village level, so I wouldn't plan on skiing part the mid-point loading areas on either gondola.

Hye's steakhouse is a great choice. Also recommend araxi, 21 steps, and Caramba for dinner. As far as apres ski, garibaldi lift co has great grand Caesar's and pitchers to go with nachos, burgers and such. Dub lihn gate is another great apres ski option. Both of those are at the base of the mountain. If you venture a little further down the village splitz grill is solid, and they used to run a happy pretty much all afternoon. I'd be able to tell you if it's still available in 3 weeks when I go.

There is also a restaurant at the top of Whistler. The food was pretty good, but the view was INSANE.

Peak to creek baby.

Crystal lodge has a basement bar called the crystal lounge. It's fun.

Saw a dude still apres'ing there at 9pm in his ski boots.

Whistler apres is unlike any other IMO.

Watching as going at the end of March. Do most folks shuttle in from the Vancouver airport?

Yes. We did a big bus shuttle as just about everyone stays at the village.

Hye's Steakhouse is excellent- incredibly friendly staff, and agree on Peak to Creek and 7th Heaven being excellent runs.

One thing I wished we knew before going: Canadian law requires that ground beef be cooked (beyond) well-done, so avoid burgers bc they taste like a piece of charcoal between two buns.

We did the hibachi place near the base. It was good.

And Earl's another night.

Make this run your first of the day. Your legs won't be able to handle it from beginning to end later on in the day.

I like Wild Blue for dinner and will second Dub Linh Gate for drinks and a meal
