Ushuaia is a great area and is where most of the Antarctica cruise go out of. Has time last time I went and you can waitlist trips to the S continent quite cheap. There are also outfitters there as well.

For Antarctica, I'd suggest Lindblad, Silversea, Seabourn

For inland Argentina (depending on what you're looking for) I work with a couple of partners who can help put together a full touring itinerary. If you want to piece it together, Travel Curious and Viator are good options.

Antarctic cruises check out Oceanwide Expedition. A Dutch group that will do everything like hiking, arctic camping, helicopter excursion, arctic kayaking or even diving. Looking to do the Weddell Sea experience following Shackleton.
Have done Silver Seas but they are leaving from Chile now.

it's one of the most breathtaking regions in the world! A few things to consider as you're narrowing it down:
Cruise vs. land :cruising gives you easy access to Patagonia, Chilean fjords, and Antarctica, while land tours let you dive deeper into Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Iguaz Falls, and wine country.
Time of year : seasons are opposite, and Antarctica has a very specific sailing window.
Activity level & comfort : expedition ships vs. luxury vessels, and how much hiking, wildlife viewing, or cultural touring you want.

For Antarctic cruises, one thing I would recommend is to check prices on Thanksgiving Day and the day after. The cruise line that I booked with had a huge Black Friday sale. I never thought that I could sail to the Antarctic on a ship that nice, for a price that low.

If you book a cruise that starts in Buenos Aires (our cruise started there, by airlifting everyone to Ushuaia), you should really consider getting there a few days early. It is a very interesting city to explore, and every person I dealt with was extremely nice.
