The Class of '80 recently completed a successful 45-year reunion, capped by watching the Aggies beat the hell outta Notre Dame in the Williams Center. (I doubt you've ever seen so many geriatrics jumping up and down at the same time.)

This came a few weeks after several of us returned from an eight-day Alaska cruise initiated by one of our class agents.

During the reunion, the agent noted that lots of classmates never got the word about the cruise, even though it had been set up more than a year before. So I'm trying to spread the word about the next cruise, planned for September 2026, to Italy, Greece and Turkey (11 days). And he's working on another one to Australia and New Zealand in 2027.

Each cruise has a discount window, but the discount gets smaller as departure date approaches and eventually goes away. All it costs to lock the discount is a $250 deposit that's fully refundable until 120 days before departure. That's plenty of time to reconsider and pull out if your circumstances change

The cruise package includes round-trip airfare, excursion discounts, two dinners at any of the specialty restaurants, and unlimited drinks. If you are at all interested, call Chris Johns at Norwegian Cruise Lines at 954-514-4185, tell him your are with the Ken Jones group going on the Mediterranean cruise next year, and he'll guide you through the process. I can try to help, but Alaska was my first cruise, and my knowledge is limited.

There are plenty of resources on FB -- groups for NCL, the specific ship (the Norwegian Viva), and, usually, one devoted to your specific cruise will form. (Among the Viva's amenities is a go-kart track.)

Former cadets, we had six F-1 guys and four K-2 guys on the last cruise, and we have nine BQs signed up for the next. Consider yourselves challenged!
