Averaged about ten miles and 50 floors a day. No matter where we went it was 360 degree Vermont picture postcard scenery. Went for the hiking, but this ended up a bucket list beer adventure. They are in a historic drought so the leaves are not expected to be great this year. Hence the mid September timing. They don't know how to drought up here though. It's still one of the lushest green places we've ever been. Mid September is perfect. Free live music everywhere. Trumpers heads would explode in Burlington. Burlington makes Madison and Austin look far right. The entire state (that we experienced) is Boston level pristine with friendly people, great food, and arguably the best beer on the planet.

Top ten breweries we visited:
Hill Farmstead Brewery
The Alchemist Brewery
River Roost Brewery
Fiddlehead Brewery
Burlington Brewery (Pinthouse Pizza level)
Foam Brewers
Freak Folks Bier
Switchback Brewery
Zero Gravity Brewery
Queen City Brewery

We were samplers, I don't think we ever went over two pints a day and managed to split the samples of 44 different beers. That hikes off easily. They have breweries and pubs everywhere. You can easily hit two breweries a day without effort. Hill Farmstead is the only brewery out of the way, but it has been rated as the number one brewery in the world. Glad we tried it when doing Lake Willoughby hikes.

We did manage to fly six pints home. Soon, I'll get my first full pint of Hill Farmstead Double Citra and Alchemist Heady Topper.
