I had the chance to visit Aruba last month and it was such a wonderful trip!

Some of my favorite highlights were exploring the Natural Bridge, California Lighthouse, Conchi pool, Baby Beach, and Eagle Beach. We also spent time in San Nicolas, where we enjoyed shopping, dining, and admiring the colorful muralsa refreshing change of pace from the busy Palm Beach area.

Since we stayed at the new Secrets Baby Beach, we didn't venture out to eat as often as I would have liked, but I've gathered plenty of recommendations for next time. Local favorites include Lima Bistro, Yemanja Woodfired Grill, Barefoot, Nusa, and Petjes. I also loved the beachfront dining and bars at the Hyatt, the views were just as good as the food!

Zeerover is a pretty good lowkey fish place right on the water.

Baby Beach was cool, was able to swim with some sea turtles. Eagle Beach wasn't very crowded near the hospital. I liked the vibe of Arashi Beach if you like people. There were also sea turtles at Tres Trapis Beach, but that isn't a relaxing spot, more-so a DIY snorkeling spot.

Full disclosure, I avoided the resort area at all costs.

ATV tours are cool there. The big companies will have a train of like 10 and create a dust storm. We did a private tour with a smaller company and it was great.

I 2nd Zeerovers, California Lighthouse, Baby Beach and Arashi Beach. Charlie's Bar in San Nicholas is one of the neatest dive bars I've ever been to.

Third vote for Zeerovers - loved how casual it was and some of the best fish, papiamento for a nice sitdown dinner, flying fishbone and The Old Man and the Sea (very private place - also a great small couples resort) for on the water dining

Was looking at the new Secrets there since I have Hyatt points. Saw something about the resort is not actually on Baby Beach ? Is that right ? Do they shuttle you ? Your impression of the resort ?
Thanks.

That is correct, Secrets is not directly on the beach. It is about a 3 minute walk down to the beach area through the parking lot. You are basically leaving the resort to go to the beach as you have to give your name and room number leaving and returning.
They have carts for a shuttle if you need also.
Baby Beach is a public beach so there will be larger groups, families and kids at the beach. There is also a restaurant down there that is not included with the resort. Secrets does have a staff member at the beach that will set up chairs and towels for you. They have waters, sodas and canned beer as well.

The picture was taken in the buffet restaurant looking out to the beach area and walkway to the beach.

Overall the resort is beautiful and the pools are stunning. It's super windy and very desert feel. They just opened in June and I think they still are working out kinks with the service and restaurants.
