Got two full days to burn in between Navarre and Orlando. Kids are 13, 11, 8. We like nature, history, local food, or anything that's neat along the way.

Anything worth going Apalachicola direction for? Anywhere else? Tarpon Springs, Crystal River?

Thanks!

We're going to leave a day early to have more time. So day and a half in navarre. Take time driving hwy 98 along the coast through Apalachicola. Day at Ichetucknee Springs State Park. Then to St Augustine for a day and a half before making our way to Universal.

Honestly, if you have two days and kids aged 8 to 13, I'd probably skip Apalachicola since it's a bit quiet and might not keep them super engaged. Tarpon Springs is a nice stop though, the sponge docks are interesting, and there's some good local Greek food that's pretty kid-friendly. Crystal River is great if you want to get outdoors and maybe see some manatees or do a little kayaking, which my kids loved when we went. Another spot I'd recommend is Weeki Wachee Springs for the mermaid show, it's a little kitschy but really fun and unique, especially for the kids. Overall, those spots are great for mixing nature and something different without straying too far.

Agree with Gentry here. I'm not sure about Tarpon Springs but the rest is spot on.

I think all those places are cool.

You can do a manatee swim in some of the springs around there. I'd look into that.
