Former part time resident on 30A.
1) spring break, June- Mid August & first 2 weeks of October will be peak rental season. New rental arrivals every Saturday. Grocery stores slammed on the weekend. Traffic congested with golf carts.
People everywhere. Spring break probably the worst.
2) the rest of the year is fantastic.
3) hurricanes and the very unstable Florida insurance marketplace. I don't want my primary residence to be wiped out by a storm. In the past 2 years two major storms almost tracked to our area.
4) difficulty in finding capable and dependable contractors
5) things cost more since your in a resort environment
It's a great place but I chose to keep my primary residence north of Houston.
