How long do you want to ignore this user?
Flying from DEN to SIN and land at 16:33. Would like to catch a 19:55 flight to Bali rather than staying the night. I usually go from BKK, but for the price I could not pass it up to SIN.

Will this be enough time to exit the airport and re-enter? Ticket will be on separate confirmation numbers.

TIA.

Not worth it, IMO. There's plenty to see and do in Changi. I'd see some of the exhibits/displays and then hit one of the lounges for a shower, booze, and food.

It's enough time to exit airside at Changi and go screw around in Jewel.

Have your digital entry card filled out and you're talking literally seconds to get through immigration.

Might look into Old Airport Road Food Centre. Good place for people watching and to get a flavor of it all. Kind of place where you see a new S class parked next to a Honda ruckus. Also would recommend finding a massage place in the airport or nearby before you have to sit on a plane for another 3-hrs. If you stay in Changi theres a Taiwanese beef noodle place on the 2nd floor thats tip-top.

Assuming everything goes to plan, no problem.
What's your connection between DEN and SIN? Is it LAX or SFO, or other?
Just curious about potential snafus with connecting flights.

As bthotugigem05 pointed out, if you have your paperwork organized, you can be through immigration in seconds. I went to Singapore back in February and didn't know that it was all electronic now.

They had a bunch of kiosks on the side for you to get your on-arrival visa in order. So instead of seconds, it took me 5 minutes to get through immigration.

On the connecting flight to Bali, is your boarding pass electronic and do you have to claim and re-check luggage?

The way Singapore is setup, when you arrive, you could just go directly to your departure gate without ever entering Singapore. It's not setup like say LAX where you arrive at an International Terminal and then have to enter the USA before you make a connection.

At Changi, since you can stay completely on the International side, they have the security screening at the departure gate lounge so allow extra time for that and don't dilly dally around thinking that you only need to be at your gate 30 minutes before departure.

3 hours in Vancouver then to SIN.

Carry on only. I haven't checked a bag in 10 years, minus golf clubs a few times.

Ticket will be paper I imagine, its through Jetstar. Sounds like I can make this work then. I have 2 days on the back end of this trip in SIN to do the sightseeing.

I'm going for holiday and also to see some friends that are slow traveling through there at that time. Really looking forward to it. Been to Bali many times, but this trip will be in the north and west, so new territory with 6 days in Lombok and 4 in Gilis thrown in there.

Sounds totally doable.

The only thing I'd be curious about is the fact that "Thank You JetStar" (famous Australian commercial) will need to validate your passport and Indonesia Visa credentials prior to issuing a boarding pass.

I would think they could do that at the gate but you might have to exit to the Departure Hall to check-in for the flight.

It sounds like your flight from YVR - SIN should be on time giving you 3 hours to check in at Changi, if you can't do it online before you leave Vancouver. Some airlines like Emirates or Singapore let you check in 48 hours in advance but I suspect it's 24 hours in advance for JetStar.

Changi might have the fastest immigration process that I've ever experienced. Check-in is a breeze too. I don't think you'll have a problem as long as your first flight isn't delayed.

After living in SG for almost 5 years and now back in Houston I go into a state of depression every time I go to IAH. Seriously, I used to get off the plane at Changi, pass immigration with my thumb scan, pick up my bag, and take a cab to my condo off Orchard…..in about 45 minutes. I miss those days!
