How long do you want to ignore this user?
We are going to have a day in Seattle before heading on to Alaska. I'll have two kids, 5 and 7, with me and will be staying near SEATAC. My wife would like to go up to see Pike Place and hit the aquarium for the kiddos.

Not knowing anything about the city - is taking the light rail ok with kids this age? What about the walk from the station at 3rd & University? We've been advised to avoid Pioneer Place and Pike/Pine near 3rd/4th. Are we better off biting the bullet and taking an Uber?

You have a very solid plan. I've taken the exact same trip before. Definitely take the University stop. It will make for a little longer walk but it's better than Pioneer Square or Westlake station. The train from Seatac is very safe and Seattle goes out of it's way to keep it that way. It's no problem at all
to have kids on it.

Premier Airport Shuttle is a great local option too. We leave on a cruise tomorrow afternoon and they brought us to our hotel in Renton this afternoon and will take us to the cruise terminal tomorrow morning. I've been very impressed with their service. You'll save a lot by taking the train, though, in comparison.
