We have a stop on a trip on the island of Rhodes for 8 hours.

Looking for any can't miss spots or beaches. Don't need the "skip Rhodes" part… have done and am doing Santorini, Mykonos, Athens and Rhodes is not going to change. Wondering if the Old Town is worth it.

Spouse/11 year old/6 year old that have traveled a ton will be attending.

We did a shore excursion that went to St Paul's bay and areas around there. The old town was very walkable and enjoyable, but hardly unique.

If you're making a cruise stop, it's hard to do much other than old town. The shops and street vendors are cool, and there is a shop there that has some of the best linen garments that you'll find anywhere.

The food at La Veranda is great as is the view from outdoor patio. It's a little hard to find but well worth it to seek it out. There are lots of tourist trap restaurants in the old town, and it is not one of them.

It's called Rhode Island and it's the smallest state in the country
