Going to pull the trigger in 2026

Just checked and every hotel in Louisville is already sold out 12 months in advance lol

So I always hear about the "Kentucky Derby packages" where these event companies package the hotel, transfers, tickets, etc.

Just curious if any of you have used one of these package deals, satisfaction rate, etc

Look at Airbnbs or vrbo. Went about 10 years ago, had a blast.

We stayed at Air BNB. It was a fantastic event. Bucket list.

Wife surprised me with tickets two years ago for my birthday. Us and some family stayed at a local Air BnB ~ ~ 15 min from downtown, ~ 20 min from Churchill Downs. $$$$pend on getting a box(ended up with more face time with Herbie than I knew I cared for) and not fighting cattle to enjoy the day, decent dinners, and those hopeful little white tickets. Between downtown, being at the tracks all day, then checking out the Beam distillery before flying out; we were only at the Air BnB to crash and shower. Yes - the AirBnB was dump, btw.
