Heading to a wedding in San Francisco in mid-June, planning a side trip afterwards to Lake Tahoe.

  • Where to stay (would like to be close to the water)?
  • Things to do?
  • Places to eat & drink?
  • Tourist traps to avoid?
  • Any other recommendations welcomed!

Do your worst, TexAgs travelers!

Tons of threads on this topic.

Take a booze cruise on Bleu Wave. Lots of fun and they tell you interesting history and stories that might help you learn about other things you want to see in the area.

I can't help you with the stay. We're in Tahoe a week every summer, but crash in a Lutheran church parking lot on Harvest Host. ****'s expensive in Tahoe!

We're there to ride and SUP the lake.

Rent a MTB and:

Flume is the only must. You can shuttle it from the bike shop near Bullwheel Parking lot at Incline.

On Bullwheel, park there for the beaches and take the shuttle. People are nuts at places like Sand Harbor. If you're not lined up at the gate by 6A, you're not getting a parking spot. Park at Bull, brunch at Tunnel Creek then take the shuttle wherever.
