I'm looking for a 7 day all inclusive hotel in Cozumel. It will be a solo dive trip vacation so I don't need anything fancy but I want the food/drinks to be decent. I was debating between Allego or Occidental. Anyone have any experience in these 2 or recommend another with concern to price?

Just know those are going to be lower end hotels. Honestly there are not any great AI there. The Dreams/Secrets complex I was disappointed in.

If I had to stay I would choose Palace but it's probably double the cost of the two you mentioned. Second choice would be Melia but they are a big timeshare. There is a Westin AI now and definitely would do that one.

I had clients stay at Occidental for a dive trip and it is what it is. Budget, 3-star resort and food was just okay.

Will echo what JMac said, just no quality all-inclusive resorts in Cozumel.

I stayed at El Cid La Ceiba for this trip last year. I thought the food was very good. It's on the same price level.

Westin

We like the Palace for AI. It's recently been updated. That said, El Presidente is the best hotel in Cozumel so we stay there on every visit and use Scuba Du for diving. The Westin is nice but it's so far away from the dive sites that we won't stay there again.

Iberostar Cozumel is great, costs are extremely reasonable and the food is also good/great
