How long do you want to ignore this user?
We're headed to Paris in June for work/pleasure and have 2 to maybe 3 days to allocate. The two options based on necessary flights are either New York City or Frankfurt, Germany. We have two really well traveled kids - 11 and 6.

I think my question may be more about Frankfurt, as I know that NYC has plenty to do, though not sure about kids. I've been all over the world but never felt like bothering with NYC.

Thanks in advance.

NYC with kids is fantastic.

Frankfurt is supposedly meh.

Spent a couple days in Frankfurt last May for work and I would 1000000% choose NYC.

Did a 5 night trip to NYC with my wife and kids (at the time ages 11, 8, 8) a few years and they absolutely loved it.

I avoid Frankfurt whenever possible.

I would 100% stay in Europe. You can do NYC anytime. Go to Heidelberg and Mannheim or even Strasbourg. All close to Frankfurt. Tons to do around there other than Frankfurt proper.

Well, of course Frankfurt is not an attraction, but, neither is Newark. You can get to a bunch of cool places from Frankfurt. The Rhein River gorge and maybes some castles might be interesting to kids, perhaps making your way south down to Strasbourg and Alsace, from where you can take a TGV to Paris.

New York has it's attractions too. I think it's just a matter of what exactly you and your kids would like, and, perhaps, whether you want to get your jet lag recovery day out of the way before your work in Paris

Fly into Frankfurt and go into Strasbourg. Drive around Alsace and show the kids the towns that Belle from Beauty and the Beast's town was based on. There's a lot of cool stuff to do around that area! I'd much sooner do that than NYC with kids.
