OK, divers, whatcha got for me on Fiji? We'll be near there next summer and may head over with 8-9 days to explore under water. So I have some questions. Which resorts are nice? Should I mix and match hotels/areas or stick to one resort? Dive company recs? Must do dives? Anything else?

Any and all info is appreciated.

No direct experience to help you, but Fiji is on the short list of places under consideration for our 30th anniversary next year. Scuba Board is a pretty good place to do some research and get a few names of places to start looking into. They have a Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific Islands section with some recent threads on Fiji (https://scubaboard.com/community/forums/australia-new-zealand-the-pacific-islands.27/) as well as one specific to just the Pacific Islands that has more (https://scubaboard.com/community/forums/the-pacific-islands.540/).

Just before Covid, I stayed at Paradise Taveuni Resort and used the onsite dive shop. They have specials running most the time, so just book one of those. I also used Taveuni Ocean Sports on another trip and would rate them high in every category. You will remember the cabbage patch, rainbow reef and great wall forever. 100ft visibility and just an amazing experience overall.
