Looking at a trip to Cancun for my wife and a friend's 50th birthdays. Looking in November, and for probably at least 10 couples. Any suggestions or recommendations? We went to VIM a couple of years ago for a 40th birthday of another friend and had a great time.

Sounds like a super fun celebration vacation!

Atelier, Secrets Maroma, UNICO, Secrets Moxche would all be top choices I would recommend.

Kind of depends on location and vibe for sure.

Would love to help you with planning, feel free to reach out!

Another vote for Secrets Moxche. I love the resort and just had clients get back this week who also loved it. The new Secrets Playa Blanca looks fantastic too and have a client flying home tomorrow (as well as the same couple who just got back from Moxche going to PB in a few weeks).

Many times if you can get 8-10 rooms there are additional perks depending on the resort. This could be a cocktail hour, or even a free room.

If needed, I would be happy to assist. My email is in my profile.

Thanks for the info. I know the wives are looking at VIM and Haven. Thoughts on those compared to the suggestions?

VIM hands down. I was not a fan of Haven but I know some love it. The water is murky and brown (think Galveston). Smaller property. I'm sure it's fine, but I had stayed at Secrets Maroma earlier in the week (top notch) so when I went to Haven I felt left down. Service was slow. Food was pretty good. I did like the rooms. But to be fair, it's been probably 4 years.

I've never had a single complaint for Valentin. I do sell it frequently. Sometimes I can get pricing better than direct.

That's my first thought as well. Better atmosphere.

VIM is very popular among my clients too. Larger resort and spread out. I thought everything was really good. Beach here is better than Haven for sure. It has a more authentic Mexico feel to me with the style and decor.

I really liked Haven, it was new-ish at the time I went and I loved the rooms and the feel. Food was good and I thought service was great. I like that there are two totally different pools. One is a zero entry and more quiet and the other is larger with swim up bar, music and activities. If you want a good beach and that is important to you do not go here. It prices really well and is like 10 minutes from the airport.

I'd be happy to send more information and look up some
pricing for you. If you're for thinking 10 rooms, there are some great group perks we can secure.

What is the group looking for?
Are you looking for a lively resort?
Is a fantastic beach or pools more a priority?

I plan group travel to Mexico to celebrate milestone birthdays. If you have not found a travel advisor I would love to help plan your travel.
My contact info is in my Bio.

Thought I would include some pics of resorts I've toured that might fit the group

Thank you everyone for the suggestions. I am trying to get the wives to give me a little more info,

Brooke, I have to ask, what resorts are those? They are beautiful.

Your signature says you're a Hyatt Certified Confident. Can you help book a Hyatt AI if I'm planning on using points to pay for it?

We loved Secrets Maroma Beach. Beautiful beach, pools were great, food was good. Lots to do, and the resort isn't so big that you spend all your time walking.

But what really made our stay special was the the staff. They are incredible.

Been doing Mexico trips for ~25 years.

Atelier is my go-to. Go Inspira suites. Their Inspira pool / bar is top notch. Oh and try a tamarind margarita. Game changer.

Secrets Maroma is my #2 (headed there tomorrow).

Impressions Isla Mujeres and Secrets Moxche. I have toured and stayed at both of these properties and have some good insight if you are still looking for a travel advisor.
They are two of my favorites

In the travel advisor world a Hyatt Certified Confidant is specialized training with the Hyatt Brand. Points are not accepted for bookings made with my agency. I hope that's helpful

My wife & I have spent the last 4 nights here at Impressions Isla Mujeres & have loved every minute. We're heading home in a little while. We'd absolutely recommend this place. Not much of a beach may be the only drawback if that's a priority.

Just got back. One note - their service has always been good, but seemed exceptionally good this time around. Like they realized it could differentiate them from other places. Food was awesome as well. Well played, Secrets Maroma.

We went to Secrets Akumal for our daughter's wedding last month. They went on to Valentin for their honeymoon. They preferred Secrets over Valentin for the resort although their suite at Valentin was incredible.

At Secrets Maroma now. Other than terrible weather, our stay has been great!
