I was trying to look at lounge options for Austin coming up. I can't used United like normal as flying on points on American. AA lounge is $79pp (dumb).

I came across this Chase Sapphire Terrace you can get access to if you have the Sapphire Reserve or JP Morgan Reserve.

Also looks like they have a lounge in Boston and Hong Kong, with others coming. This is separate from priority pass.

I'll check it out on 12/25 and report back!

Recently tried the CSR lounge in Boston. Little tricky to find but the food and drink options were really enjoyable before a long flight.

The CSR lounge in Boston is fantastic. Awesome bar, nice beers on tap, app type foods you can order fresh off the menu, and then then standards off the buffet.

Nice looking lounge!

So this is very unique. I'll try to get more indoor photos. Very small bar area with about 5 nonalcoholic and 5 alcoholic options. Quite a few regular snacks.

And then this really cool machine!

Very little area to sit indoors. Outdoors is really nice.

Drink selection.

Inside there are a total of 7-8 seats.

That chocolate chia pudding was fantastic. Had a lot of good looking salads too.

AUS lounge is great the 4-5 months you can go outside to the terrace however you will be smelling jet exhaust constantly. Food machine is great for salads. Cool views but not a fan of fumes. Seems wherever the wind is coming from it swirls on the end of the building and there's no escaping it.

Odd. I didn't smell it a single time and we were out there at least 90 minutes. I agree the food machine was fantastic!

Glad I had my two wines there cause it was 90 minutes before I was offered a drink on American (first class). I'll take my United back lol.

Those Farmers Fridges are all over now. Have yet to try one though.

Maybe a North wind is key to clean air. It's not too bad but occasionally on a take off roll for Left runway, the exhaust air seems to drift over. Won't stop me from visiting as the AA club is not that great and AUS shut down a Centurion Lounge a few years ago. That was a bummer.

Didn't know that Austin ever had a Centurion and as you noted the AAdmirals Club is tiny and not worth forking out cash or points for a pass.

On a side it's disappointing to see AA cutting bait on their growth plans at AUS; would not be surprised to see Delta continue to try to grow given the huge hole in their network after the DFW hub was shut down years ago.

Never been in it but the Delta club at AUS looks cool up in that elevated area.

It never opened. Typical AUS can't get out of their own way.

AA isn't bad but it's not like the others in the network. BA uses it on their flight too and gets crowded.

To be fair the AUS AAdmirals Club is where I got to see Salma Hayek's boobs falling out of her dress after an F1 race so it will always hold a special place in my heart.
