Anyone ever done one of these? After spending 30 minutes or so googling this, every option I find doesn't leave me with a warm and fuzzy. None of the websites look like any sort of official travel company, they all resemble old 1990s geocities websites. Some of them are call to book, and overall I am getting a variety of info.

Since I can't get to FPO in one day from DEN, I was thinking this might be a fun alternative option, either from orlando area, FLL area, or Miami area.

Only need 1 way, as I can get home going west in 1 day. It's for next July, which is another issue as the only options I'm coming across that have booking online only go to end of this year. It would be nice to know if the schedule is even an option.

While I've never booked them, I have looked at them for clients. It's common not to be able to book stuff this far out. I think the one I've seen the most is the Baleria company.

We did the balearia back in 2016. It was in the height of Zika and Freeport was one place not on the list and we had just found out my wife was pregnant. Flew to FLL on points with Southwest. Went rountrip on the ferry for a couple days at an all inclusive in Freeport. It was pretty minimalistic but never felt unsafe.

I came across this cruise;

https://margaritavilleatsea.com/plan-your-escape/the-3-day-getaway

they actually have a cruise and stay option, but it's max 4 nights on the island, and we want to stay 6 (coincidentally one of the hotel options is where we are booked).

So question, this is a round trip cruise, what happens if we don't get back on in bahamas and just stay for our 6 nights?
Then fly back obviously. Is this looked down upon, or do they not even care?

I can't answer it - but I would tell you do NOT expect much out of this cruise. It has crap reviews. Its on my do not sell list. If you don't mind low end then call them. But I would get approval to disembark early/not return. I wouldn't think this is an issue.

this def. wouldn't be booked as cruise experience.
I have two options here;
Option 1 is fly to FLL a day early and get a hotel to take the 1 hr am FPO flight the next day, arriving several hours before my check in allows.
The other option, fly to FLL a day early on morning flight, get on this cruise, cruise overnight, wake up in bahamas, and can keep our stuff on the ship until 2-3pm, then get to hotel for check in.

Flights I'm looking are going to be $150ish a person plus $200+ for hotel
This cruise, while it only goes out until april, looks to be as low as $100 a person.

So not only is it possibly quite a bit cheaper than the FPO flight/hotel but we can chill poolside and booze most of the evening and following day, free food for a 2-3 meals, widening that price gap quite a bit. Plus we can go straight to hotel from ship at check in time.

I've spent week in Freeport on a business trip working at the shipyard on the island.

Grand Bahama and Freeport are very underwhelming.

The cruise terminal is not far from the shipyard and I laughed at all the tourists getting off the boat with disappointed looks on their faces.
